2023 has been a roller coaster ride for Jet Black Squares and there’s so much to celebrate as we look back at the last year.
11 Associates have joined the JBS family since the start of the year, meaning we now offer our smartphone safaris right across the UK and in the West of Ireland too. This has been astounding and we say a huge thank you to our whole team for their passion, dedication and the creativity they bring to every session they host.
There’s been so much else to celebrate too. We’ve run 46 camera club/U3A/Women’s Institute talks, including a wonderful talk to a Canadian camera club (with a 2am start time!!!).
We have run smartphone safaris for all sorts of different companies and with audiences all over the world, including Meta, private members club the Curtain Club at the Mondrian in Shoreditch, Specsavers, Better Bankside, Said Business School (Oxford University), Royal College of Midwives, Structura (UK) Ltd, Aerospike, and Confluent Europe Ltd to name a few.
Over the year, we have also run numerous smartphone corporate marketing and portrait shoots, with a particular highlight being invited to Turkey to work with WE Soda Ltd.
Jet also has the amazing opportunity to run a course of smartphone photography sessions at a writer’s retreat in the Greek island of Skyros. (and is back again in July for 2 weeks in 2024). What a fantastic group and what a beautiful location!
Of course, we also ran lots and lots of amazing group and 1:1 safaris, ‘snap & chat’ sessions and charity events throughout the year. We have been overwhelmed by your support and the energy and fun all our clients bring to these sessions.
All of this proves the incredible versatility, accessibility and potential of the smartphone camera, which makes us all very happy to see.
The year ahead!
There’s so much more to look forward to in the year to come. We already have an exciting selection of group safaris to book onto in the new year, and we have our new PTA Smartphone Safaris launching soon too (a great way to raise money for your school). And we would love to hear from anyone who would like to come and join us to run their own smartphone safaris. This is a perfect opportunity for the retired and semi-retired who have a passion for smartphone photography to meet new people and get creative.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us and we wish you very Happy New Year! (Chaotic photo to represent a chaotic, but fabulous year!!!).
